King's Coronation
|
Minsterworth Village Hall hosted a village event to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III on 6th May 2023.
The day was very well attended, with residents enjoying a variety of entertainment, including a competition for young people in the village to see who could dress up as the best monarch! On a sweltering hot day, food drink and good company were had aplenty to mark this special day, which was ended - as is now becoming traditional - with the lighting of our beacon. |

"Escape to the Country" comes to Minsterworth!
June 2021 Jonnie Irwin and a TV crew descended upon our village to film an episode of the BBC's "I Escaped to the Country" with Andrea and Bob Holder. Part of the filming showed Bob's interest of the village's photo club, with a portrait session with Jonnie and members of the club in the village hall. The programme was first shown in January this year, and is now available on BBC iPlayer - series 6 Episode 6! |
Christingle Walk, December 2020
The annual Christingle walk took place in the village, with a well-attended walk and carol singing from the village hall to St. Peter's Church. It brought a bright end to what has been such a painful year. It filled the village with hope for the coming year!
7th September 2017:
Princess Anne visited the hall during an opening ceremony of the houses in Ellis Bank Drive. She spoke with members of the village and viewed the refurbished catering kitchen in the hall and unveiled a plaque.

2018 and 2019: Village Fete. Traditionally this is held once a year as a fundraiser for the hall.
Many stalls and attractions help raise funds while promoting the hall to our villagers and visitors from surrounding areas. Unfortunately, due to the event of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 events had to be postponed.
