Many of us will remember 20 November 1992 when the Castle suffered a catastrophic fire. The worst in its 900 year history, altering parts of the building beyond recognition.
Our speaker, Fraser Gunn, was one of the Officers in charge of controlling the fire. The talk gives some beautiful pictures of the Castle before the fire, then goes on to describe how the fire spread, and the devastation that it caused. Having heard the talk previously, we can assure you that you are in for an excellent evening. |
