Chris Witts will talk about the Severn Bore, the crash that brought down the railway bridge which ran from Sharpness to Lydney in the 1960’s (the original pillars of the bridge can still be seen on the canal - see picture above), and the grain barges that he skippered from Tewkesbury to Gloucester docks in the 1990s.
