An experienced solo performer, accompanying himself on piano and guitar, he is a talented songwriter and a fine interpretative singer. He also presented the Acoustic Music Show on BBC Radio Gloucestershire for over twenty years. Paul Burgess is a longstanding musical collaborator, including regular participation in Johnny’s annual Christmas tour. A classically trained recorder-player and defiantly un-classical violinist, widely considered to be one of the leading exponents of English fiddle playing, he also has a talent for deadpan humour. A magical combination at any time of the year.
